電波のない散歩道

Before a weekend walk, I noticed a warning on the park's website.

週末の散歩の前に、公園のウェブサイトで注意書きを見つけました。

Some parts of the valley had no mobile signal.

谷の一部では、携帯電話の電波が届かないそうです。

I usually checked directions on my phone while walking, so this mattered to me.

普段は歩きながら携帯で道を調べるので、気になる情報でした。

At home, I saved a map for offline use and opened it with mobile data turned off.

家でオフライン用の地図を保存し、通信を切った状態で開きました。

The paths were visible, but the map did not show the latest notice about a closed bridge.

道は見えましたが、橋の閉鎖に関する最新の案内は出ていませんでした。

I wrote that information on a paper copy of the park map.

公園の紙の地図に、その情報を書き込みました。

I also marked the visitor centre and the path back to the entrance.

案内所と、入り口へ戻る道にも印を付けました。

During the walk, my phone lost its signal near the river.

散歩中、川の近くで携帯の電波がなくなりました。

The saved map still opened, and we compared it with the signs beside the path.

保存した地図は開いたので、道沿いの標識と見比べました。

At the closed bridge, a sign pointed us towards the alternative route.

閉鎖された橋では、標識が別の道を示していました。

We followed it and returned to the visitor centre before lunch.

その道を進み、昼食前に案内所へ戻りました。

Saving the map was useful, but checking current local information was useful too.

地図を保存するのも、現地の最新情報を確かめるのも役に立ちました。
