A friend asked me to find the opening time of a weekend book fair. The first search result showed a clear timetable, so I sent her the link immediately. Later, she asked why the page mentioned a Saturday date that fell on a Monday this year. I looked again and found the year in a small line below the title.
The page described the previous fair, not the one we wanted to visit. Its familiar title had made me overlook the date. I went to the organiser's main website and followed the link to the current event. The new timetable started an hour later and used a different entrance to the building.
I sent the corrected information and explained which details had changed. We also checked the page again on the morning of our visit in case there was a last-minute notice. There was no change, and we arrived at the correct entrance shortly before the doors opened. I now try to separate two questions when using a search result: does this page answer my question, and does it answer it for the right date?
A useful-looking answer can still belong to a different occasion. Checking the organiser's current page took a little longer, but it saved us an unnecessary wait.
